1. The Essence of an Accessible Website

 

An accessible website is one that allows a person with a disability to browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as other users, utilizing the capabilities of the system on which the website operates and with the aid of assistive accessibility technologies.

 

2. Implementing Accessibility Adjustments on the Website

 

The accessibility adjustments on the website were carried out in accordance with Section C: Internet Services in the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments for Service) 5773-2013, and the Israeli Standard (IS) 5568, which is based on the WCAG Guidelines [Section 2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 – Please select the relevant option]. The site was made accessible to Level A, subject to changes and adaptations implemented in the Israeli Standard document. The website content has been adapted to work with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. As part of this process, we have:

• Run the accessibility wizard and corrected all identified issues.

• Defined the site language.

• Ensured the content order on all site pages.

• Defined clear header structures, including semantics, on all site pages.

• Added alternative text for images.

• Used color combinations with the required contrast ratio.

• Reduced disruptive movement on the site.
